Kappabashi-dori

Kappabashi-dori (かっぱばし/合羽橋) is a fascinating street for restaurant and cafe owners to buy specialist goods.  There are many plastic food model shops, with everything from plastic sushi to plastic beer!

Budget travel tips

  • As this is an area for restaurant owners, the prices for items such as cutlery can be very cheap.

  • The plastic food can be expensive in Kappabashi, so going somewhere like Tokyu Hands in Shibuya or Shinjuku may be better if you want to buy some.

  • Walk to Asakusa after instead of taking the train.

How to get there
