While the name is quite a tongue twister, Toritsu Tamakyuryo Natural Park and the associated shrine and pagoda complex make for a great tourist attraction in suburban Tokyo.
- It’s little far from central Tokyo, so consider combining it with Mount Takao and/or Showa Memorial Park.
Great for Autumn colours. Check our report here.
How to get there
From Shinjuku station, take the Keio line (private line) to Takahatafudo station (310 yen, 30 mins). From the south exit, take a right down the shopping street and you will arrive at the temple complex and park.
Opening times: Usually 8 AM to 6 PM
