Shinjuku, in central Tokyo, has some great Christmas lights this year. Stunning winter illuminations line the Southern Terrace, near the Takashimaya department store and Tokyu Hands (great for a bit of cheap Christmas shopping).
Access: Take the Southern Terrace exit from Shinjuku station.
