Dotonbori Canal

If you have seen a picture of Osaka before, it was probably of Dotonbori Canal.  The remodeled canal is an amazing area, and so much better now that you can walk along it’s banks.  Countless photo opportunities and lots of lights.

Budget travel tips

  • Best in the evening.
  • Make sure you also check out Dotonbori Street when on the canal.

How to get there

From Nanba station (Osaka Subway line), take Exit 14 or 15B, then walk north towards the canal (about a minute).

From Umeda station (Osaka), take the Midosuji line (Osaka Subway) to Nanba station and take the follow the instructions above (7 mins, 230 yen).
