Shinjuku Gyoen Garden is one of the best places to enjoy the cherry blossoms in Tokyo. I recently went there to see if ‘sakura‘ had already started. Many of the trees were already in full bloom, while others were nearly, nearly there.
This tree greets you at the Okubo entrance.
Some of the trees were already in full bloom on 26th March.
These trees were rather popular!
The lakes in the garden are dotted with various cherry blossom trees.
It will take a few more days for some of the trees.
Even the ones that are not yet in full bloom are worth coming to see.
There are loads of different types, so it’s not really a case of ‘seen it, got the t-shirt’.
There are lots of places to have a nice relaxing sit down, or sleep, under the cherry blossom trees!
