While Nezu Shrine is just normal shrine during most of the year, it truly becomes unique during it’s Azalea Festival. From around early April to early May, the shrine’s garden is filled with a stunning collection of super colourful plants.
There is a long path of ‘torii’ gates in the garden. Be sure to duck or you will hit your head!
The gates are quite a challenge even if you are of average height.
Once I had relaxed my neck and back a bit. I went in.
It was full of little old Japanese grannies!
It doesn’t take that long to see it all, so makes for a nice little trip.
Very pretty I’m sure you’ll agree!
