Beautiful English garden with a Japanese twist – Kyu-Furukawa Gardens, Tokyo

Kyu-Furukawa Garden is a really nice place to go in the summer or spring. It’s a strange mix of a traditional English garden with a traditional Japanese garden. Two gardens for the price of one! During May and June the roses are in full bloom, so we had a look.

The English manor house is surrounded by roses…

…and other flowers I don’t know the name of!

After the manor house, head down to the English garden.

Typically in Japan, places like this get busy, but not to the point where it’s annoying.

Everyone was smelling these one!

There is also a cool Japanese garden to explore, so it’s worth spending some time here.
